SSL, or actually an SSL certificate, is a tool that certifies the trustworthiness of a domain. Websites with SSL have confirmation of the secure encryption of data sent between the user and the server. It is also worth mentioning that SSL certificates are issued by independent issuers. Encryption uses a certificate that has a specific key length, the longer it is, the more difficult it is to decrypt the data it contains.
