Real user is not the same as unique user, although sometimes the two terms are used interchangeably. This is a mistake. Unique user refers to a situation in which only unique entries are counted IP. Such a scheme, on the other hand, ignores the possibility that a single computer (and thus a single IP) is used by several people. If, for example, five people visit a given website from one computer, then according to the real users indicator - there will be five. By contrast, according to the unique users, there will only be one. In the simplest terms, a real user is simply a single, natural person. This also means that an internet user who browses a particular page on several different devices (phone, laptop, business tablet) is treated as unique each time. The situation becomes even more complicated when several browsers are installed on the same device. Then, each visit is also treated as a unique user. The number of visits to a website may be analysed by means of Google Analyticsby selecting "Overview" in the "Recipients" panel.
